Aavesham’s Tamil Version will be released on this date

Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil’s film Aavesham, which was released on Amazon Prime Video last month, will now be available to stream in Tamil as well. According to reports, the producers have already obtained the necessary approvals for the Tamil version of the hit movie, which is currently the highest-grossing film starring the Pushpa actor. In contrast to other Malayalam films, Aavesham was initially released on Amazon Prime Video in May exclusively in its original language. This decision mirrors its theatrical release, which was also limited to Malayalam-speaking audiences. Nevertheless, the film broke box-office records in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka despite being released only in Malayalam.

According to sources, although most viewers may have already seen the original movie, the Aavesham Tamil dubbed edition is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video as soon as June 21, 2024. Fahadh, who is the co-producer of the film, mentioned in a previous interview that he is not particularly fond of dubbing his movies in other languages for wider reach. He believes the audience should watch his films in their original language to fully grasp the essence and cultural nuances, enabling them to resonate with nationwide viewers.

In the instance of Aavesham, which is predominantly set in Bengaluru, the reasoning may need to be revised. The film, featuring Sajin Gopu, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Hipster, follows the story of three college students who ally with a gangster to seek revenge on their seniors. However, their association with the gangster results in unforeseen consequences. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the movie hints at a potential sequel exploring Fahadh’s character Ranga’s backstory. Fahadh himself expressed interest in reprising the role to delve into his character’s history and, notably, to collaborate once again with Sajin Gopu, who portrayed his loyal companion Amban.
