Prithviraj Sukumaran has reaffirmed his status as a superstar in the Malayalam film industry. While he is widely recognized by non-Telugu audiences for his performance in Salaar (2023), the actor has been in the industry for more than two decades. His latest movie, Aadujeevitham (2024), has proven to be a significant commercial hit, grossing over INR 150 crore worldwide. This makes it only the third Malayalam film to achieve this milestone, following Tovino Thomas’s 2018 (2023) and Manjummel Boys (2024).
With its theatrical release nearing its conclusion, fans from various linguistic backgrounds eagerly anticipate the film’s digital debut. Renamed ‘The Goat Life’ in its dubbed variants, Aadujeevitham will be accessible for online viewing on Disney+ and Hotstar starting May 26, 2024. Helmed by Blessy, this adaptation of a book stars Amala Paul in the lead role, with A. R. Rahman providing the background score and songs for this gripping survival tale.
Based on a real story, Aadujeevitham—The Goat Life tells the story of Nazeeb, a diligent individual hailing from Azhapuzha in Kerala who aspires to embark on a journey to the Gulf region in pursuit of a prosperous life and abundant opportunities. However, he ends up being a slave as a man makes him a goatherd because of his innocence and lack of knowledge of the local language. The rest of the story is about how Nazeeb escapes from his situation and how hard his journey toward freedom
