The survival drama film Aadujeevitham, directed by Blessy and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, experienced a significant decrease of approximately 60 percent in its global box office collections after the second weekend at theaters. Despite crossing the Rs. 100 crore milestone within 9 days of its release, the film has now shown a slowdown in its overall performance. By the end of its 11th day in theaters, Aadujeevitham had accumulated a total worldwide collection of about Rs. 115 crore.
According to the most recent updates, Aadujeevitham has achieved a total worldwide box office collection of Rs. 115 crore after completing its second weekend of release. The film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran has garnered an average collection of approximately Rs. 5 crore on Day 10 and Day 11 in cinemas, indicating a significant decline in earnings. While the Malayalam version of Blessy’s ambitious project continues to perform well, the versions in other languages have reportedly not fared as well at the box office. It is anticipated that the movie will surpass the Rs. 50 crore milestone at the Kerala box office today.
Nevertheless, Aadujeevitham has achieved tremendous success at the box office and has become Prithviraj Sukumaran’s most successful individual film to date. Despite being produced with a substantial budget of over Rs. 83 crore, this film is projected to surpass the Rs. 120 crore milestone in global box office collections within the first two weeks of its release. It is worth mentioning that this survival drama is on track to accomplish this remarkable feat even without a complete release in GCC countries, which are traditionally significant markets for Malayalam cinema. Earlier reports have indicated that the Malayalam cinema releases for Vishu, such as Varshangalkku Shesham, Aavesham, and Jai Ganesh, are scheduled to be shown in theaters on April 11, 2024. These three significant releases are expected to have an impact on the box office collection of Aadujeevitham, as the number of theaters and screens will decrease in the following week. However, industry experts suggest that the film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran will still maintain a strong presence at the box office due to its exceptional reviews and positive word-of-mouth publicity.
