Tecno recently showcased some exciting innovations at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), offering a glimpse into the future of smartphone technology. One of the standout concepts is the Phantom Ultimate, a rollable phone that transitions from a 6.55” display to a 7.11” screen with a different aspect ratio in just 1.3 seconds. The device also features a “second display” on the back, which is actually the main display rolled around the back, protected by a glass window.
Tecno is also working on improving its foldable devices, such as the Phantom V Fold and V Flip. One notable innovation is the Borderless Foldable Main Screen, which reduces the bezel around the screen, enhancing the screen-to-body ratio.
Another exciting development is the Chameleon Color Technology, introduced last year. This technology allows the back panel of the phone to change to one of several thousand colors using sub-micron prisms that can be rotated by a magnetic field. Despite needing ambient light to work, it consumes very little power and boasts a long service life.
These concepts, while still in the experimental stage, showcase Tecno’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone design. The future looks promising for Tecno and the smartphone industry as a whole, as we eagerly anticipate the next wave of innovative devices.
