Samsung India has officially announced the launch date for the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, set for March 11 at 2:30 PM local time. These mid-range smartphones have been the subject of numerous leaks, revealing key details about their specifications and features.
The Galaxy A55 is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset and sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120 Hz OLED display. It is rumored to come with a 50 MP main camera and support for 25W wired charging. On the other hand, the Galaxy A35 is said to feature an Exynos 1380 chipset, a larger 6.6-inch 120Hz FHD+ display, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W charging support.
Samsung has also confirmed that both the Galaxy A55 and A35 will receive 4 OS updates and 5 years of security patches, matching the software support offered on the Galaxy A54 and A34. Currently, the Galaxy S24 series remains the only lineup eligible for 7 generations of OS updates and 7 years of security patches.
