Pawan’s candidates lose deposits in Telangana

All the eight candidates of the Jana Sena party in Telangana have lost their deposits in the just-concluded Assembly elections. The party fielded eight candidates in alliance with the BJP here. Pawan Kalyan also campaigned for the party candidates, besides campaigning for some of the BJP candidates.

Though he tied up with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan went with the BJP in Telangana. This had irked TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu who made his supporters in Telangana to work against the Jana Sena candidates. He told them to ensure that Jana Sena candidates do not even get deposits in the election.

The strategy of Chandrababu Naidu paid rich dividends and all the eight candidates have lost their deposits. Even the BJP’s support could not help them get their deposits. People have completely rejected the Jana Sena in Telangana.

Having won the game in Telangana, Chandrababu Naidu is now playing a new game in Andhra Pradesh to show Pawan Kalyan his place in the state politics. The Jana Sena is asking for 30 Assembly seats and 2 Parliament seats. However, Chandrababu Naidu wants to reduce the party to just 15 Assembly seats and not a single Parliament seat.

Chandrababu Naidu would also make Pawan Kalyan to bend before him to get those 15 Assembly seats and would not dare to ask for more seats. He would also impose some restrictions on Pawan Kalyan’s campaign during the elections. He is likely to give the route map to Pawan Kalyan, besides giving the speeches.

Pawan Kalyan would only be a toy in the hands of Chandrababu Naidu if they go with alliance as announced already. It is to be seen what Pawan Kalyan would do once Chandrababu Naidu starts playing his new game.
