OnePlus Watch 2 Unveiled

OnePlus has unveiled its latest wearable, the OnePlus Watch 2, signaling a significant leap forward in smartwatch innovation. The device features a “Dual Engine Architecture,” incorporating two chipsets and two operating systems. The Snapdragon W5 chipset runs Wear OS, providing access to the Google Play Store and a wide range of apps. Additionally, the BES2700 chipset operates a real-time OS (RTOS) at low power, ensuring extended battery life without compromising functionality.

In Smart Mode, the OnePlus Watch 2 offers full access to Google services such as Maps, Assistant, and Gmail, alongside 20 built-in watch faces and 80 more downloadable options. The 500mAh battery can last up to 100 hours with regular use or up to 48 hours with heavy usage. Power Saver Mode, which retains the RTOS, enables essential functions like sleep and heart rate tracking, sports modes, and even call functionality, extending battery life up to an impressive 12 days.

Designed for durability and style, the OnePlus Watch 2 boasts a stainless steel body measuring 47.0 x 46.6 x 12.1mm, with a weight of 49g (80g with the fluoro rubber strap). The 1.43″ AMOLED display is protected by 2.5D sapphire glass and can reach 1,000 nits in High Brightness Mode for excellent outdoor visibility. With a 5 ATM water resistance rating and MIL-STD-810H certification, the watch is suitable for swimming and built to withstand rugged conditions.

The OnePlus Watch 2 is not just a smartwatch; it’s a comprehensive health and fitness companion. It features a dual-frequency GPS, optical pulse oximeter, compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and light sensor. These sensors enable advanced health tracking, including sleep phase detection, snoring risk assessment, stress monitoring, and detailed sports tracking for activities like running, tennis, and skiing. With Wear OS 4, the watch offers 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, allowing users to store offline maps, music, and more.
