Realme recently unveiled its latest additions to the popular Realme Pro series – the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G and Realme 12 Pro 5G. These new phones boast several upgrades over their predecessors and aim to deliver premium features at affordable prices.
The highlights of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G include the brand new Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, a versatile triple camera setup featuring a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 64MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 32MP selfie camera. It packs a large 5,000mAh battery with blisteringly fast 67W SuperVOOC charging.
The Realme 12 Pro 5G is a more affordable option powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip. It shares many specs with its Pro+ sibling like the display, battery, charging speeds and triple camera setup but with slight downgrades like a 50MP main camera sans OIS, 16MP selfie camera and up to 8GB RAM.
Both phones run Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 and flaunt premium glass sandwich designs. The Pro+ 5G starts at Rs 29,999 while the Pro 5G is priced from Rs 25,999 making them enticing options in their segments. With powerful specs, versatile cameras, and fast charging, the Realme 12 Pro series seems well-equipped to take on competitors like the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge and Moto Edge 30. It will be interesting to see if Realme manages to replicate the success of its Number series in the Pro segment as well.
