Naidu offers 24 MLA, 2 MP seats to Jana Sena

The talks between the TDP and Jana Sena over alliance are over now. It is final that the two parties are set to go together in the 2024 general elections. While it is not known whether the BJP would also join them or Jana Sena would break with the BJP, the TDP and Jana Sena have almost finalized their alliance.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu had visited Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s residence the other day and they were closeted for a considerable time. They must have had initial talks over seat sharing. The two leaders have some plan on number of seats to be shared between the two parties. They must also have a plan on which seat to go to which party.

According to the sources, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu had offered 24 MLA and 2 MP seats to the Jana Sena. While Pawan Kalyan is not very particular about contesting the MP seats, the Jana Sena chief wanted at least 30 assembly seats from the TDP in alliance.

However, Chandrababu Naidu offered only 24 Assembly seats to the Jana Sena. Chandrababu Naidu is also planning to have the two Left parties on board, and he is likely to give a couple of seats to them. He is sending clear signals to the Left parties on forging alliance for the coming elections. Chandrababu Naidu does not want even a single vote to go waste against the ruling YSR Congress.

Keeping these factors into consideration, Chandrababu Naidu is offering 24 Assembly seats to the Jana Sena. Mostly, these seats would come from the undivided Godavari districts, where Jana Sena has considerable strength.

Pawan Kalyan is also likely to contest from two seats like 2019 elections. He is very particular on winning this time and is completely banking on the TDP vote for his victory. However, it is not known whether the TDP vote would help Pawan Kalyan to win the election this time.
