Veteran Kapu leader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham is all set to walk out of the Jana Sena at any time. He is set to end the speculation that he would soon be joining the Jana Sena party in the presence of its president Pawan Kalyan.
Mudragada created an upbeat in the political circles stating that he would soon join the YSR Congress. However, when the YSR Congress leaders approached him, he had laid some conditions for his joining the party. He wanted an MP seat for him and MLA seat for his son. The party accepted the proposal.
However, he came back and had asked for a couple of seats for his supporters, which the YSR Congress leaders rejected. The YSR Congress leaders were not ready to give any more seats to Mudragada’s supporters. They have offered the MP and MLA seats to the family but not their supporters.
Afte the YSR Congress rejected his demands, Mudragada sent feelers to the Jana Sena offering to join the party. A couple of leaders from the Jana Sena have also met Mudragada and held talks with him. The Jana Sena leadership had accepted the proposals from Mudragada and were ready to give him the tickets that he wanted.
However, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu reportedly entered the scene and advised Pawan Kalyan not to give tickets to Mudragada. He said that the TDP vote would not transfer to Mudragada if he is given a ticket. Chandrababu Naidu told Pawan Kalyan that his party would not help the Jana Sena if Mudragada is given the ticket.
Naidu had reportedly explained in detail how Mudragada worked against the TDP government during 2014 and 2019. Mudragada’s Kapu agitation during those days had caused tremors in the ruling TDP, which kept him under house arrest for more than two months.
Explaining all these issues, Chandrababu Naidu reportedly told Pawan Kalyan that TDP would not vote for him if Mudragada is given ticket. Following this, Pawan Kalyan had decided to keep Mudragada out of the race. In fact, Pawan Kalyan had also decided to drop the entry of Mudragada into the party.
It is to be seen what step that Mudragada would take now after his admission was rejected by the Jana Sena.
