Despite the ongoing legal disputes surrounding the movie, it appears that the makers of “Ramayana,” starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, are proceeding with their original plan to film the project. Helmed by the renowned director Nitesh Tiwari, known for his work in the film “Dangal,” the movie will feature Kannada Star Hero Yash, who rose to fame with KGF Series. It is widely known that the character of Yash in KGF trades gold biscuits, and his character in Ramayana uses real gold, as per the reports.
The much-anticipated Indian movie, drawing inspiration from the legendary Ramayana, is creating a buzz with its extravagant costumes. Yash, renowned for his role in ‘KGF’, will be portraying the antagonist Ravana, bedecked in authentic gold jewelry, attire, and embellishments. Director Nitesh Tiwari, aiming to present a visually captivating and authentically detailed portrayal of Ravana’s regal status, is depicting him as the ruler of the opulent golden city of Lanka, according to reports.
Real gold has been utilized to portray royalty in Indian cinema on multiple occasions. Previous instances include actresses Anushka Shetty in the film “Rudramadevi” and Samantha in “Shaakuntalam,” where they adorned themselves with authentic gold jewelry to enhance their historical characters. However, “Ramayana” goes beyond this by incorporating the valuable metal in jewelry and Ravana’s attire and accessories.
