Despite of all the hype and craze Akhil Akkineni and Sakshi Vaidya starrer Agent under the direction of Surender Reddy was heavily bombed at the box office. After a week of film release, The producer announced that the production commenced without a bound script and apologized.
Even after release, The film is still haunting the makers. Initially the film should get an early OTT release which is right after 3 weeks of release but it was postponed indefinitely for unknown reasons. It almost took 5 months for the OTT Platform to come with a new release date Sep 29th 2023. But the distributor who went through a major loss after the film release, He took it legally to the court by stating that the producer has to cover his losses. Hence, The court has put stay and it came out as a shock to Sony LIV right before the day of OTT release. The film should only get streamed after the court legal clearances with the makers and a distributor of the film. Even Sony LIV didn’t had an answer and they didn’t take it to social media by officially announcing the postponement of the OTT release date as they do not have any clarity on the release date.
One film – So many hurdles and still remains as an unsolved mystery. But the movie goers are still waiting for the OTT release as most of them missed out on this film when it had a theatrical release, Reasons might vary. Sony LIV is still clueless about the release date and has officially removed its trailer cut as well from the platform.
