“TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was the chief minister of the state for 14 years. What does he have to claim credit? What is he showing people to seek votes,” asked State government advisor and YSR Congress general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Monday.
Ramakrishna Reddy said that there was nothing for Chandrababu Naidu to claim as his own scheme, despite serving as the chief minister for 14 long years. He said that people would remember Chandrababu Naidu as the backstabber and betrayer and not as the chief minister of the state.
He asked Chandrababu Naidu to name at least one scheme that people would remember him as the chief minister. He took strong exception to Naidu throwing a challenge to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy asking him to come for open debate. He said that the ruling YSR Congress would send some one for the debate, but before that he wanted Naidu to spell at least one scheme that remembers him and his government.
He also asked Chandrababu Naidu to tell the people what he had done between 2014 and 2019 as chief minister of the state. Is there a single scheme that reminds Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister of the state, he asked.
He said that time is running out and people would decide who should govern them in the next 50 days. People have made up their mind to keep the TDP in the opposition, he said. He also dared Chandrababu Naidu to tell people what he would do with the volunteers’ system. Will he bring back the Janma Bhoomi committees in the place of volunteers, he asked.
Ramakrishna Reddy said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had implemented 99 per cent of his election promises. The promises and their implementation are available on the internet, he said and added that they have not removed the manifesto from the interest as the TDP did.
He also took a dig at the yellow media for its misleading propaganda and spreading of false information to the people. He said that the yellow media had crossed the limit and is serving the political interests of the TDP. “It is not the media, it is the pamphlet of the TDP,” Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy asserted.
