Popular South stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have been making headlines lately over rumours about their engagement. Various reports suggested that the duo, who have worked together in films like Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, are all set to get engaged in February 2024.
However, Vijay has now rubbished the engagement speculations in a recent interview. Speaking to Lifestyle Asia, the Arjun Reddy actor clearly stated, “I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married.”
Vijay clarified that he is currently not planning on getting married. He also added that such rumours about his engagement surface every year in the media. Meanwhile, Vijay and Rashmika have neither confirmed nor denied being in a relationship publicly.
On the work front, Vijay was last seen in Khushi alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. He has several upcoming films lined up including VD12 and Family Star. Rashmika, who made her Bollywood debut with Mission Majnu, also has big projects like Pushpa 2, The Girlfriend and Rainbow in the pipeline. Fans are eager to see them reunite on-screen again soon.
