Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is fighting at the box office despite seeing a continuous drop in its numbers. The comedy drama was released in theaters on October 11, 2024, and it clashed at the box office with Alia Bhatt’s Jigra. Though the numbers of VVKWWV are better than Jigra, still the overall total of the film for five days is just okay.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video collected 19 crore in its first weekend and then garnered 2.5 crore net on its first Monday. Tuesday’s number dropped to 2 crore, indicating the film losing grip at the ticket windows. For five days, VVKWWV collected 23.5 crore net at the domestic box office, and if it can somehow manage to maintain the consistency at the box office around 1.5–2 crore, it can have a decent second weekend at the box office.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilya, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is set in 1997 and tells the story of a newlywed couple who lost a CD in which they recorded their private moments. The film has Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat (marking her reentry into the films), Archana Puran Singh, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar in supporting roles.
