Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is performing decently at the box office. The comedy drama had a fairly reasonable first weekend at the box office, and though Monday’s numbers have dropped by 50% from its first day, it is still a better performance than its competitor, Jigra, which starred Alia Bhatt and was released in theaters on the same day with VVKWWV on October 11, 2024.
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video collected 19 crore net on its first weekend, and on its fourth day, the film was able to mint 2.5 crore net in India, taking the total net collection to 21.5 crore at the domestic box office. The film will have to maintain the same level of numbers in the coming days to get going, or otherwise it will end up as a failure at the box office. A few trade experts and industry insiders felt that the film’s title, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, has made some of the viewers hesitate to watch it as it gives a touch of adult movie.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilya, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is set in 1997 and tells the story of a newlywed couple who lost a CD in which they recorded their private moments. The film has Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat (marking her reentry into the films), Archana Puran Singh, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar in supporting roles.
