John Abraham’s latest action drama, Vedaa is finding it tough to survive at the box office. Despite getting released on a National Holiday like August 15th, The film just amassed a decent number of 7 Crores net on its first day. Because of the dominance of Stree 2, Vedaa had limited takers.
Trade circles expected Vedaa to find some upward jump towards the weekend. However, the film had a big drop in the numbers as it could collect only 1.5 Crores net on Friday. However, Vedaa saw slight jump on Saturday and Sunday as it gathered 2.5 and 3.5 Crores net on those two days. On Monday, despite being a partial holiday because of Raksha Bandhan, Vedaa collected around 1.5 Crores net.
Vedaa amassed 16 Crores net in India for 5 days. John Abraham has a good track record on Independence Day as Satyameva Jayathe, which is still his highest opening and Batla House were released on August 15th and became solid hits. However, Vedaa failed to join the list.
