Jahnvi Kapoor’s spy thriller Ulajh is now streaming on OTT. The film made its digital debut after almost two months from its theatrical release. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria and produced by Junglee Pictures, the film was released in theaters on August 2, 2024, and ended as a big failure at the box office. The pre-release expectations around the film were good, but it ultimately failed to live up to the expectations. Ulajh is now streaming on Netflix.
Ulajh tells the story of a young IPS officer named Suhana Bhatia, played by Janhvi Kapoor, who hails from a family of patriots, and she has a great deal of expectations from her parents as well as her bosses. Unknowingly, Suhana gets entangled in a web of personal conspiracy, which leads to her compromising in her duty. How Suhana gets out of the mess and punishes the people who wronged her and eventually saves the country from a bigger threat is the rest of the story. Ulajh could only gather a meager amount of 11 crore net in its lifetime. It is quite exciting that Ulajh has made its digital debut on Netflix on the same day when Jahnvi’s Telugu film Devara hit the theaters.
Ulajh stars Jahnvi Kapoor in the lead role, along with Gulshan Devaiah, Adil Hussain, and Roshan Mathew in crucial roles. After the film’s failure at the box office, Janhvi and Gulshan spoke about it in different interviews. He stated that audiences might have their preferences for other films; that is why they did not come to theaters to watch the film.
