Ulajh 4 Days Collections

Janhvi Kapoor’s movie Ulajh garnered merely Rs 60 lakh on its first Monday at the box office, marking its lowest daily earnings to date. The film’s overall performance has been notably disappointing, with a total collection of Rs 5.50 crore over the first four days, as reported by industry sources.

‘Ulajh’ was not aiming for a significant release from the outset. Nevertheless, it relied heavily on positive word-of-mouth to sustain its presence in theaters. Given its current trajectory, the film is likely to be dismissed shortly. The thriller drama encountered a box office competition with ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha,’ which also experienced lackluster performance. Similar to ‘Ulajh’, it appeared to have been dismissed by viewers, accumulating approximately Rs 8 crore net in India over four days, a surprising outcome for a film featuring Ajay Devgn in the leading role. Both ‘Ulajh’ and ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ could have achieved respectable box office collections had they benefited from even a modest boost in word-of-mouth promotion. Additionally, the films enjoyed a favorable 10-day window to generate revenue before the major Bollywood releases on Independence Day, which included titles such as ‘Stree 2’, ‘Khel Khel Mein,’ and ‘Vedaa.’

Janhvi plays the role of Suhana, a member of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) who ascends to the position of the youngest Deputy High Commissioner in Ulajh. Her colleagues accuse her of being a beneficiary of nepotism. During her tenure at the embassy in London, she faces intense scrutiny and skepticism about her loyalty while undertaking a demanding mission. The cast of Ulajh also includes Adil Hussain, Roshan Mathew, and Meiyang Chang. The film is co-produced by Amrita Pandey and Vineet Jain and is produced under the Junglee Pictures label.
