Turbo: Mammootty’s Latest Action-Thriller finally set to arrive on OTT this Friday

Turbo, the latest Malayalam blockbuster that premiered in May 2024, stars Mammootty in the principal role. This film signifies the megastar’s collaboration with acclaimed director Vysakh following the tremendous success of Madhura Raja. The seasoned actor portrays the main character, Turbo Jose, while Raj B Shetty takes on the role of the primary antagonist. Following its successful theatrical run, Turbo is set to make its highly anticipated debut on the renowned streaming service SonyLIV on August 9, 2024.

Following an extended period of anticipation and several projected release dates, Turbo is set to premiere on SonyLIV on August 9, 2024. Directed by Vysakh, the film is anticipated to be available for streaming on the well-known platform starting at midnight on Friday. Recent information indicates that the Mammootty-led movie will be accessible in five languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. However, at this time, there have been no announcements regarding the OTT release of additional language versions, such as Marathi and Arabic.

The highly successful action thriller film centers on the protagonist, Aruvipurathu Jose, also known as Turbo Jose, who is compelled to move to Chennai due to complications arising from his association with his friend Jerry and a woman named Indhulekha Nair. Upon his arrival in Chennai, Jose finds himself at odds with Vetrivel Shamugha Sundaram, a local thug. Mammootty portrays the role of Jose, while Raj B Shetty plays the character of Vetrivel. Shabareesh Varma portrayed the character of Jerry, while Anjana Jayaprakash took on the role of Indhulekha. In the film, the esteemed actress Bindu Panicker played the part of Jose’s mother, Aruvippurathu Rosa Kutty, which features Vijay Sethupathi lending his voice as the antagonist Vetrivel’s business associate. Supporting roles are filled by Sunil, Dileesh Pothan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Niranjana Anoop, Robo Shankar, Kunchan, Johny Antony, VTV Ganesh, and Abu Salim, among others. The film’s music was composed by Christo Xavier and is distributed by Wayfarer Films, a company owned by Dulquer Salmaan.
