Tumbbad continues its strong performance upon its re-release in theaters. After having a good first week, the film maintained the consistency at the box office, and with the help of National Cinema Day on Friday, the film gathered more numbers than its first weekend on the second weekend. Tumbbad has crossed the 20 crore net mark in India.
On its 10th day, i.e., Sunday, the folk horror film collected 2.5 crore net in India, which takes its total net collection to 21.5 crore (25 crore gross) at the domestic box office. The film is all set for a lifetime collection of over 30 crore net, which will be a sensational achievement for a re-released film. Tumbbad was originally released in 2018, and it did not receive the desired box office success, though the reviewers applauded the film for its technical brilliance. After the film was released on OTT, the response for Tumbbad grew exponentially, and it reflected in the collections upon its re-release.
