Ticket war in BJP reaches Delhi

The war for tickets in the AP BJP unit has reached the national capital. The party national leadership is now looking into the issue and is set to take a call in the day or two.

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu had promised Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam North, Paderu, Kaikaluru, Vijayawada West, Anaparthi, Badvel, Jammalamadugu, Adoni, and Dharmavaram seats.

However, the AP BJP leaders are asking for Visakhapatnam North or Paderu, Chodavaram or Madugula, P Gannavaram, Rajamahendravaram city, Kaikaluru, Vijayawada Central, Kadiri, Madanapalli, Srikalahasti and one seat in Rayalaseema region.

The BJP says that the party is present in these seats and it would be better for the party to find canbdidates to contest the election. In the segments which were given to the BJP by the TDP have no leaders and candidates, the BJP leaders say.

They also allege that the TDP had given the seats to the BJP whever the party had no candidates. The TDP is scared of losing these seats and hence given them to the BJP, where BJP also has no candidates.

The BJP AP leaders are making hue and cry about the seats, while the state leadership is silent. State unit president Daggubati Purandheswari had not placed any list either before Chandrababu Naidu or before the party high command. She is maintaining absolute silence on the seat allotment.

As most of these seats are set to be defeated, the candidates are not coming forward to contest the seats. The BJP is finding it difficult to name its candidates in the seats given to them by Chandrababu Naidu. On the other hand, they have some candidate or the other in the seats which are sought by the party leaders.

It is to be seen how the BJP national leadership would resolve the issue and go for elections.
