The Rising Trend: Film Industry Stars Venturing into Multiplex Business

In recent years, a notable trend has emerged within the Indian film industry as renowned actors are diversifying their portfolios by venturing into the multiplex business. Leading this innovative path is none other than Superstar Mahesh Babu, whose successful collaboration with Asian Cinemas resulted in the establishment of AMB Cinemas, now a prominent and highly frequented multiplex in Hyderabad. The success of AMB Cinemas has set the stage for other actors to explore similar ventures.

Taking inspiration from Mahesh Babu’s entrepreneurial spirit, actor Vijay Deverakonda entered the multiplex business in association with Asian Cinemas, unveiling AVD Cinemas in Mahbubnagar. This two-screen multiplex has become a local attraction, showcasing the growing interest among actors in not only the film industry but also in the business side of entertainment.

Adding to the list of actor-entrepreneurs is the iconic Allu Arjun, who launched AAA Cinemas. This multiplex gained popularity for its state-of-the-art facilities, especially Screen 1 and Screen 2 equipped with an LED screen and Dolby Atmos technology. The foray of actors into the multiplex industry signals a significant shift in their roles, transcending traditional on-screen performances.

The latest development in this trend comes from the dynamic actor Ravi Teja, who is set to join the league of multiplex owners in collaboration with Asian Cinemas, A 6 Screen Multiplex. The upcoming venture is slated to be launched in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, in the latter half of the year. This joint venture not only reflects the actors’ strategic business acumen but also demonstrates the growing synergy between the film industry and the multiplex business, reshaping the entertainment landscape in India.
