The film is all set to have a premiere on an international stage at the 15th Chicago South Asian Film Festival on September 20, 2024. Starring Boman Irani, Avinash Tiwari (known for his work in Laila-Majnu, Bambai Meri Jaan, and Madgaon Express), and Shreya Chaudhry, the film will not be released in theaters and will have a direct OTT release on Prime Video. The story of The Mehta Boys focuses on the duo of a father and son, who share a strained relationship. However forced by the situations, they both get into an unexpected juncture where they have to spend forty-eight hours together. The film then tries to delve into the intense circumstances, misunderstandings, and problems between the Father and Son. Boman Irani is not only the actor and director for The Mehta Boys, but he also worked as a writer and producer for the film. He also collaborated with the Oscar-winning writer Alexander Dinelaris Jr.
