After a handful of releases in August, the OTT platforms are in for another good amount of releases from Malayalam cinema. As Kerala’s most celebrated festival Onam is arriving, there are some exciting movies lined up for OTT release in September. Let’s take a look at those films.
Pavi Caretaker, Manorama Max: September 6
Starring Dileep in the lead role, Pavi Caretaker tells the story of a caretaker in a residential apartment. Pavi arrives as caretaker of former police officer Mariyamma with his dog. He meets a young woman who becomes his roommate, and the rest of the story is about how his life changed after that.
Thalavan, Sony LIV, September 10
Starring Biju Menon and Asif Ali as the leads, this crime thriller has kept the OTT viewers waiting for so long. Finally, the film is arriving on September 10 on Sony LIV. The film is about two police officers, CI Jayashankar and SI Karthik, who are not having good terms with each other, and they are pitted against each other because Jayashankar is charged with a murder case, and Karthik gets assigned to investigate it.
Nunakuzhi, ZEE5: September 13
Starring Basil Joseph in the lead role along with Nikhila Vinal, Manoj K Jayan, and Siddhiqui in crucial roles, the film tells the story of Eby Zacharia, who gets involved in an unexpected income tax investigation. Nunakuzhi is made as a hilarious ride where the protagonist meets a movie star, a broken couple, a deceased dentist, and a squad of police officers.
