The Lady Killer, starring Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar, had an unusual journey. The film was released in theaters and went unnoticed. After a long gap, the film has made its digital debut, and it is now available on YouTube. The film was released in theaters last November, and it collected a mere 1 lakh gross at the box office, and only 293 tickets were sold on the first day. For unknown reasons, the film was released with an incomplete cut in theaters.
Directed by Ajay Bahl, The Lady Killer was released in theaters on November 3, 2024, and became a big failure at the box office.The film did not make it to OTT after such a big failure. Reportedly, the popular OTT platforms did not show much interest in getting the film’s digital rights. Now, without any notice, T-Series, the production house behind the film, has dropped it on YouTube.
It is a surprising thing that a movie is released on OTT without any proper notice of announcement. The Lady Killer was made available on YouTube from September 2. So, the audiences can now watch the film and can tell why the film faced such an improper result despite starring known actors like Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.
