A great anticipation among the fans surrounds actor Vijay’s upcoming film, The GOAT – Greatest of All Time, which is scheduled for release in under a month. In the lead-up to the film’s debut, its storyline has gained significant traction on social media. Described as a sci-fi action thriller, The GOAT is both written and directed by the esteemed filmmaker Venkat Prabhu.
Numerous social media platforms have disseminated information regarding the storyline of The GOAT. The synopsis states, “The shadows of an unknown past resurface, destabilizing a special anti-terrorist squad and shaking their trust as buried secrets come to light.” In this film, Vijay is anticipated to portray both his younger and older selves, utilizing de-aging technology to achieve a youthful appearance. Additionally, the thriller is reportedly inspired by the tragic 2004 Moscow Metro bombing, which resulted in numerous fatalities due to a suicide bomber’s detonation. The anticipated runtime of the film is approximately two hours and thirty minutes; however, an official confirmation has yet to be released. It is widely known that the film GOAT marks Vijay’s 68th appearance as the lead actor and is directed by Venkat Prabhu, who is collaborating with the actor for the first time.
The film The GOAT is scheduled for release on September 5 in theaters. In addition to Vijay, the cast includes Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Laila, Ajmal Ameer, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, among others. Recently, the production team unveiled the Spark song from the film, showcasing Vijay’s de-aged appearance. However, the reception of the song and its making was unfavorable among the audience. The soundtrack for The GOAT is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is important to note that this film will mark Vijay’s first release following his announcement of entering politics and establishing his own party. While the actor has suggested a commitment to a full-time political career, The GOAT is anticipated to attract a significant number of his fans to the cinemas.
