The GOAT hits a major milestone at the Box Office

Thalapathy Vijay’s latest theatrial release, The GOAT, completed a nearly three-week run at the box office. The film had an exceptional weekend in its homeland, Tamil Nadu, and it continued the good run even after the first week, and it has now reached a major milestone at the worldwide box office. The GOAT has already achieved breakeven, and it stands at the fourth position in all-time biggest blockbusters of Kollywood.

The Greatest of All-Time (The GOAT) has collected 450 crore gross at the worldwide box office. Since the first day, the Tamil Nadu region and overseas areas have given maximum collections for this film. The film has collected 210 crore gross in Tamil Nadu, and overseas gross will be 155 crore for 20 days. From now on, Vijay’s action drama needs another 15 crore gross to become the highest grosser for Tamil cinema, but it has to face competition with the latest blockbuster Lubber Pandhu and Karthi, Arvind Swami’s Meiyazhagan, which is all set to be released on this Friday, September 27th. The film will have an advantage at the Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti weekend, but it will face shortage of screens because of new releases.

Also, NTR-Koratala Siva’s Devara will also be released in Tamil, and it can further dent the number of screens for Vijay’s The GOAT. If not for the film’s failure in Telugu states and Kerala, The Greatest of All-Time would have crossed the 500 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
