Thalapathy Vijay’s recent theatrical release, The Greatest of All-Time completed two weeks at the box office. Though the film’s numbers saw a considerable drop after the second weekend, the film achieved the breakeven in eleven days itself.
Since its first day, the film has performed well in Tamil Nadu and overseas. It maintained the same flow on weekdays and for 12 days, the film collected 200 crores gross in Tamil Nadu while the overseas number would be 150 crore. Overall, the film has collected 425 crore gross at the worldwide box office and it crossed Kamal Haasan – Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram and reached the top fifth position in all-time highest grossers of Tamil cinema. If The GOAT had performed better in other states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala, the film would have reached the magical number of 500 cr but it looks impossible now.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT (The Greatest of All-Time) stars Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan and Jayaram in crucial roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film’s music.
