Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders is struggling at the box office. The film’s trailer was well received and raised the anticipation levels around it. However, when the crime thriller was released in theaters on September 13, 2024, it failed to get the required positive response, though a section of audiences and reviewers praised the performance of Kareena.
The Buckingham Murders collected ₹1.5 crore net on its first day and ₹2 crore on the second day. The film gathered ₹2.2 crore on Sunday and showed some hopes of a consistent run afterward. However, on Monday, the fourth day, the film was able to collect only ₹80 lakh. On day five, the film gathered ₹75 lakh nett in India, according to the trade experts. So far, the film has collected ₹7.40 crore net at the domestic box office. The Buckingham Murders had an overall 11.15 percent Hindi occupancy on Tuesday.
Directed by Hansal Mehta, The Buckingham Murder stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role, while Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen play the supporting roles. The film tells the story of Jasmeet ‘Jass’ Bhamra (Kareena), who is Indian living in the UK and working as a detective. When Jass is dealing with the loss of her young son Ekam (Mairaaj Kakkar), she is assigned a case of a missing boy, Ishpreet, who is as old as Ekam.
