Kareena Kapoor Khan and Hansal Mehta’s crime thriller, The Buckingham Murders, has shown good growth on its second day at the box office. Despite the film getting only 1341 screens in India, the film was successful in bringing a considerable number of audiences to the theaters on Saturday. Today being Sunday, the big day for new releases, the trade experts expect a good performance from the film.
The Buckingham Murders had an occupancy of 9.99% on the first day, while it got strengthened to 15.70% on the second day. Also, a few screens were also added for the film, seeing the growing demand for it. On the first day, the film collected 1.5 crore net in India, while on the second day, it showed a slight growth and gathered 2 crores. Overall, for 2 days, the crime thriller has collected 3.5 crores net at the domestic box office.
The film is performing poorly at the major cities like Mumbai and Delhi, which are the major shareholders for Bollywood films. However, The Buckingham Muders have performed well in South regions like Chennai and Bangalore, along with Hyderabad. Also, the Pune numbers are better as per the trade experts. The Buckingham Murders has been directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and Mahana Films.
