It is widely known that Manjummel Boys has been a major success in Indian cinema this year, emerging as the highest-grossing film in the history of the Malayalam film industry. However, the film has now encountered legal issues, which resulted in the producer’s bank accounts being frozen.
A recent petition was filed in the lower court in Ernakulam by a person who claimed that the producers had deceived him after providing Rs. 7 crores in financing for the film under the condition of receiving 40% of the profits. After examining the case, the court has issued an order to freeze all accounts belonging to the film’s producers immediately. As of now, the makers have yet to respond to this matter. The fans of Malayalam Cinema are in shock with this news. It is sad that a good film is getting into the news for all the wrong reasons.
Directed by Chidambaram, Manjummel Boys is a survival thriller starring Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Lal Jr, and others in prominent roles. The film has grossed over 200 crores worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Malayalam film to date.
