It is widely known that Tamil Star Hero Thalapathy Vijay is quitting films after making his 69th film. The renowned star actor of South Indian cinema is all set to team up with director H Vinoth for his last film before he starts his political career. Tentatively titled Thalapathy-69, the film was officially announced on the evening of September 14, 2024. This announcement sparked massive reactions from audiences and diehard fans of Vijay, who felt emotional as this will be the last film of their idol.
KVN Productions will be producing the much-awaited Thalapathy-69, and they officially announced this news on their social media accounts yesterday evening (September 14) after enticing fans with numerous hints about the film earlier. H. Vinoth has been handed over the directorial duties, while sensational music director Anirudh Ravichander will score the music. The makers also announced that the film will be released in October 2025.
According to the poster, which hints that the protagonist of the film is a “Torchebearer of Democracy,” the film seems to be a vigilante/socially aware film with commercial elements as well. As of now, the details of the other cast members are not officially out, but it is being reported that Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal will appear in a crucial role in the film while Simran, Samantha Ruth Prabu, and Mamitha Baiju will play the female lead roles.
