Story:
Aryan is a young and energetic robotic engineer and works for his aunt. He falls in a love with Sifra, a witty woman, but he gets shocked to learn the truth that she is a robot. But still, he wants to marry her. The rest of the story is how Aryan can manage this relationship without letting his family know the truth.
Performances:
Shahid carried the entire film on his shoulders as he excelled in delivering some amusing one-liners and giving impact in the emotional scenes. Kriti Sanon projects the appearance of a robot through her precise hand gestures, walking, talking, and overall body language. In every frame, she looks absolutely gorgeous and could have done much better with her performance if her character had been correctly written. Other artistes like Dharmendra, Rakesh Bedi, Anubha Fatehpuria, Rajesh Kumar, Grusha Kapoor, Brijbhushan Shukla, Raashul Tandon, Ashish Verma were fine.
Analysis:
The Writer—Director Duo Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah have made a romantic drama through the backdrop of artificial intelligence and tried to mix the deep human emotions. The film concentrates more on the character of Aryan and his love track with Sifra in the first half. The second half of the film involves the family emotions and addresses the modern-day relationships in a fun way. The music also worked well for the film.
Positives:
The film’s main plus point is Shahid Kapoor’s honest performance. As said above, in many scenes he carried the film’s weight, though the writing/screenplay faltered. The second half of the film has some endearing moments, and the emotions also worked well towards the climax.
Negatives:
Though the film has an interesting line, Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah could not make it as engaging as it should have been. The initial love track looks rushed and though the film gains a bit of momentum after the interval, it does not get the required feel. The convenient characterization of Sifra looks silly as she has all the aspects of advanced technology but does not have any kind of commonsense of not driving a car into a veterinary hospital when a man is critical.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Movie Verdict:
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a movie that is a flat and unimpressive attempt that gets only benefited by its good-looking lead pair, a handful of comedy scenes, a few emotional moments and music. Apart from that, the film’s writing is illogical and shallow that never allows to get involved in the proceedings.
