The opposition TDP is targeting four-time MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy in Palnadu district this time. The TDP activists have planned violence across the state during the elections and now have planned even more aggressive violence during counting. They are afraid of losing the elections and hence planned the violence.The TDP had brought NRIs from across the world. The NRIs came here with the Dollars and distributed the money to the voters in every village. They bought votes for the TDP before the election.
However, they are now worried about their defeat in the election. This would be the last election for the TDP as the party would disintegrate after the elections. It would not be possible for the TDP leaders to save the party for another five years.Due to fear of losing the election and having trouble to keep the party alive for another five years, the TDP leaders are resorting to violence and have booked false cases against Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy.
The YSR Congress had raised several questions on the violence in Palnadu after the elections. It wanted to know why the election commission had not taken any action against Circle Inspector Narayana Swamy who is close to IG Tripati. The YSR Congress also questioned how Narayana Swamy was promoted as CI when he was facing several allegations when he worked as Sub-Inspector.The YSR Congress also questioned the Election Commission for not taking action against Narayana Swamy when Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy complained against the CI on April 8 itself. The YSR Congress said that IG Tripati and CI Narayana Swamy would be held responsible if anything happened to Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy.
