Sudheer Babu Slams Arshad Warsi for Calling Prabhas a ‘Joker’

Prabhas’s recent film Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has shattered records and become another hit in Prabhas’s repertoire. The film is now set to be streamed on OTT platforms, with the Telugu version available on Prime Video and the Hindi version on Netflix this August 22nd. However, as the film continues to garner attention, it has landed in a new controversy.

Arshad Warsi, well-known for his comic roles in the Golmaal and Dhamaal franchises, and for his portrayal of Circuit in Munna Bhai MBBS, recently shared his thoughts on Kalki 2898 AD in an interview. Warsi candidly expressed that he did not like the film. While acknowledging that everyone is entitled to their own perspective, Arshad, being a celebrity, went a step further by criticizing not just the film but also Prabhas’s performance, stating that the actor looked like a “Joker” in the film. Warsi remarked that he had hoped to see something akin to Mad Max, with a character like Mel Gibson, but felt that Prabhas was not utilized effectively.

Warsi’s comments have since gone viral, sparking outrage among Prabhas’s fans and movie enthusiasts. While no actors from the South have responded to Arshad’s statement, actor Sudheer Babu recently gave a counter, saying, “It’s okay to criticize constructively, but it’s never okay to bad-mouth. Never expected the absence of professionalism from Arshad Warsi. Prabhas’s stature is too big for comments coming from small minds.”

Prabhas’s fans have appreciated Sudheer Babu’s response. Meanwhile, Arshad Warsi is currently involved in a couple of projects, including upcoming installments in the Welcome and Jolly LLB franchises.
