Striking Palace OTT Release Details

Vrott, the OTT platform launched in 2022, aims to connect Western and Eastern cultures by offering international content in various Indian languages. For example, Vrott is preparing for the French comedy-drama Striking the Palace premiere, which debuted in France earlier this year.

The comedy film, which was launched in June, is all set to hit the screens in India on October 10, 2024, exclusively on Vrott. Viewers will have the option to enjoy the 1-hour-45-minute movie in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. The narrative of the movie unfolds in the heart of Paris, where a young woman named Eva (Lucie Charles-Alfred) is at a crossroads in her life. Residing in a hotel for foster care alumni, she secures a temporary position at a prestigious palace hotel, stepping into the shoes of a remarkable chambermaid. As Eva delves into this unfamiliar environment, she forges deep connections with the vibrant housekeeping team, consisting of Safietou, Violette, Aïssata, and the exceptional Simone. Together, they confront the harsh realities of their profession, such as being treated as second-class citizens, having unstable contracts, and lacking fundamental rights. These struggles are all too familiar to many, making the story of Eva and her newfound family one that will surely resonate with the audience.

The trailer commences with a whimsical background score and the entrance of Eva into the realm of hotel management. An associate at the Palace Hotel briefs her on her responsibilities and work timetable, guiding her through every nook and cranny of the establishment. Subsequently, she is acquainted with the sardonic housekeeping crew of women, who never fail to make snide remarks. Eva receives training on cleaning rooms and bathrooms and changing bedsheets, facilitating her integration into the team. The 1-minute-48-second clip then portrays their challenges in adapting to the job, the individual highs and lows of each team member, and the strong camaraderie among them. Visiting the Palace is bound to offer some relaxing moments.
