Stree 2, the horror comedy blockbuster, has completed seven weeks at the box office. Today will be the 50th day at the theaters, which is a very rare feat to achieve by a film these days. The interesting thing is, in its successful theatrical run, the film has collected below one crore only on one day, which speaks volumes about what an extraordinary run the film had at the box office.
On October 2, Stree 2 collected over 2 crore net in India, taking its total net collection to 620 crore and the gross figure to over 731 crore. As said above, Stree 2 had a terrific run at the theaters since its arrival on August 15, 2024, and the film is now nearing its closing. Because in next week, Alia Bhatt’s Jigra and Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ are getting released in theaters, and ‘Stree 2’ will lose a large number of theaters to the new releases, and it can as much as numbers till this weekend.
Besides Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Stree 2 also has Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles, while Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia appeared in cameos. There is also an interesting rumor that the makers of the film are considering a spin-off focused on Shraddha Kapoor’s character, exploring the backstory of her life and her relationship with Stree.
