Stree 2 creates at the Bollywood box office as it became the new all-time biggest blockbuster at the domestic box office. The horror comedy has crossed the previous record holder, Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Atlee, which had collected 584 crore net in India. This is an unexpected and monumental achievement by Stree 2, as it has beaten the biggest star’s film.
Released on August 15, 2024, Stree started its record hunt by collecting 9 crores from the paid premire and over 55 crores on its first day. From then on, it never looked back and went on to gather massive numbers at the box office. For continuous weekends, it minted as many as numbers and finally became the all-time biggest blockbuster. On its 34th day, Stree 2 gathered 2.7 crore net in India, taking its total to a whopping 586 crore net, and the next target for the film is the coveted 600 crore figure.
As Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 took the first place in the all-time big hits of Bollywood, Jawan (2023) moves to second place while Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal (2023) stand at the third place, with Yash – Prashanth Neel’s KGF 2 (2022) at the fourth place and Amir Khan’s Dangal (2016) standing at the fifth place.
