Stree 2 Crosses 100 Crores Mark in 2 Days

Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy Stree 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, is showing an excellent performance at the box office. Within two days, the film had crossed the magical number of 100 Crores net at the Indian box office. The film, which stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi, had a sensational start at the ticket windows.

Stree 2’s paid premieres were held on Wednesday, which brought in Rs 9.5 crore, and on its first day the film gathered Rs 55.5 crore. On its second day, Stree 2 maintained its momentum, adding Rs 35 crore to its earnings, according to the trade experts. So the two days’ number of Stree 2 in India is Rs 100 Crore.

On the second day, the film had an occupancy rate of 37.46%. The first day, which is also a national holiday, registered a superb occupancy of 77.09% in the Hindi market. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor reprising their roles from the first part. Stree 2 tells the story of a demon named Sarkata, who haunts the people of Chanderi, and the people turn to Stree for help. The film also includes several surprise star cameos, including Akshay Kumar, Tamannaah Bhatia and Varun Dhawan.
