Stree 2’s splendid run at the theaters is continuing in the second week as well. The Sequel to Stree (2018) the horror comedy, was released on August 15th and opened to excellent reviews and numbers. The trade circles and industry insiders expected the film to be a proper hit, but Stree 2 surpassed everyone’s expectations.
Stree 2 collected 289 Crores net in India in its first week, and it showed a wonderful consistency thereafter. On its eighth day, the film raised 18 Crores net and on the ninth day it gathered nearly 20 Crores. For 9 days, Stree 2 collected 327 crores net at the domestic box office. The film is marching towards the 400-450 Cr club.
Starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi in crucial roles, Stree 2 is directed by Amar Kaushik. The film’s story shows the fight of People of Chanderi who face a dangerous threat in the form of Sarkata, a headless demon.
