Stree 2, the horror comedy blockbuster’s glorious theatrical run, is still continuing at the box office. Recently, the film created history by becoming the first-ever Bollywood film to cross the coveted 600 crore net figure at the domestic box office. Though the film’s collections are around 1–2 crores, it is still an achievement for the film, which has completed six weeks in theaters.
On its 43rd day, Stree 2 collected 1.3 crore net and the total net collection of the film for 43 days will be 609.6 crore in India. Compared to last weekend, the numbers of this horror comedy have been less, but still, the film is able to attract decent footfalls at the theaters. Now, as the film faces competition from NTR and Koratala Siva’s Devara, trade circles are excited to see how Stree 2 will take on the action drama.
Stree 2 also benefited from the failure of films like Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa, which were released in theaters alongside the horror comedy on this Independence Day. As both the films failed to attract audiences, the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer attracted almost everyone to watch it.
