Stree 2 is continuing its dominance at the box office. This horror comedy is still able to entertain audiences, and it is the first choice for the moviegoers despite nearing the competition of three weeks. Released on August 15th, Stree 2 posted sensational numbers on its first day (65 Cr including paid premiere figures) and first weekend (204 Cr) and continued the good momentum until now.
On its 19th day, Stree 2 gathered 7.5 crores net, which takes its total for 19 days to 509.5 crores net. Stree 2 is now very much near to crossing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which is the highest grosser for Bollywood. The good thing for Stree 2 is there is no competition for it at the theaters. There is no new movie getting released in the near future, and Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, which was set to be released in theaters on September 6, has been postponed. So, Stree 2 can enjoy at least another two weeks of decent run at the box office.
Stage 2 is set in Chanderi and focuses on the unexpected danger that the people face because of Sarkata, a headless ghoul who kidnaps progressive women. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor appeared in lead roles in the film, while Abhishek Bannerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi played supporting roles. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 also had Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia in cameos.
