Stree 2, the latest horror comedy from Maddock Supernatural Universe, is having a dream run at the box office. On its second Monday, which is a Semi Holiday because of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the film collected over 20 Crores net in India.
According to the box office trackers, Stree 2 gathered 20.5 Crores on its twelfth day. For 12 days, Stree 2 raised 422 Crores net and 498 Crores Gross at the domestic box office. As said above, the advantage of Shri Krishna Janmashtami has helped the film post a healthy total. The film is performing very well at the urban centers but what surprised trade circles was the exceptional turn around of audiences in single screens, and they stated it has been a long time since such massive footfalls getting registered for a tier 2 movie. The Maddock Films production house has started a horror comedy universe with Stree, followed by Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya, Abhay Verma and Sharvari’s Munjya and now Stree 2.
Varun Dhawan made a special appearance in Stree 2 as Bhediya in the film’s climax, which enthralled the fans. Moreover, a popular star like Akshay Kumar appeared in a guest role with a hint of his character becoming the main villain in the universe of Maddock in the coming days. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi in crucial roles.
