Director Siruthai Siva is coming up with his first ever big budget socio-fantasy film, Kanguva, in the next month. Starring Suriya in the lead role, the Pan Indian film will be released in theaters worldwide on November 14, 2024. The makers of Kanguva have begun the promotions, and Siruthai Siva already gave a few interviews as well. In one of those interviews, the director spoke about reuniting with Ajith Kumar for the fifth time.
Ajith and Siruthai together worked for films like Veeram, Vedalam, Vivegam, and Viswasam. Except Vivegam, all of the films in the combination of actor and director were super duper hits at the box office. Siva said that one more film with Ajith is definitely on the lines, but it should be confirmed by the actor but not him. While Siva was busy with Suriya for Kanguva, Ajith is working simultaneously for Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidamuyaarchi and Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad and Ugly. The fans will also love the combo of Ajith and Siruthai Siva, as it produced the majority of successful films.
Siruthai Siva’s last theatrical release was Annatthe (2021), which starred Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film bombed heavily at the box office. So, everyone was surprised when Suriya agreed to do a big-budget film under the direction of Siruthai Siva, who scored a big disaster and was known for being known for commercial mass entertainers only. However, the filmmaker is expressing big confidence in the interviews, and we will know whether it is real confidence or overconfidence on November 14, 2024.
