Bollywood actress Divya Dutta is all set to make her re-entry into the Punjab film industry after a short break. The renowned actress played the central role in KS Malhotra’s crime thriller, Shaatar. The film will skip its theatrical release, and it will be released directly on OTT. Chaupal, the Punjabi digital platform, has bagged the rights of Shaatar.
Shaatar stars Divya Dutta and Mukul Dev in the lead roles. While Divya Dutta is the protagonist, Mukul Dev appears as the antagonist in the film. Chaupal will make the film available for online streaming from October 17, 2024, and the fans are eagerly waiting to watch this crime thriller. Directed by KS Malhotra, the film tells the story of a dangerous criminal named Ranjit who goes in disguise to kill his victims. The series is made as a cat-and-mouse game between the killer and victims, and it promises an intriguing experience for the viewers.
Along with Divya Dutta and Mukul Dev in the lead roles, Shaatar also stars Aman Dhaliwal, Dev Sharma, Deepraj Rana, and Samiksha Bhatnagar in other crucial roles. This Punjabi thriller has been produced by Holy Basil Films and written by KS Malhotra and Hardev Singh, the popular duo of Punjab film industry.
