The film is having a fantastic run in North America and has crossed the 2 million dollar mark in just five days. The film is all set to become the highest-grosser for Nani in the USA. Surprisingly, the Tamil version, Surya’s Saturday, has collected an impressive Rs 5 crore gross for 5 days in Tamil Nadu. The trade is now eyeing the upcoming Vinayaka Chavithi weekend, and we will have to see how the film Saripodhaa Sanivaara will use the advantage of the festival.
Saripodhaa Sanivaaram tells the story of Surya (Nani), who has to keep his anger in check for six days as he is bound by a promise given to his mother in childhood. He unleashes his anger only on Saturdays against those who make him angry. Surya’s path crosses with the ruthless CI Daya (SJ Suryah), who tortures the people of Sokulapalem. Surya targets Daya and tries to teach him a lesson. Surya also loves Charulatha (Priyanka Arul Mohan), a constable. The rest of the story focuses on the result Surya received because of his actions against Daya.
