Sabari, the latest film of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, is now streaming on two OTT platforms. The film was in the making for over one and a half years and got released in theaters on May 3, 2024. The film received somewhat average reviews, but it failed to create any effect at the box office and was taken out of theaters within just a week of its release.
Though the film was released in theaters in summer, it did not find any good OTT deal for a major amount of time, and after six months of its theatrical release, it finally found a good deal. SunNXT, the popular digital platform, bagged the digital rights to Sabari and started streaming it from October 11, 2024, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. The film did not receive any positive response upon its digital premiere, much like its theatrical release. The latest news is that Sabari is streaming on another digital platform apart from SunNXT. Aha Telugu has started streaming the Sabar in Telugu, and the response has been decent so far.
Sabari was written and directed by Anilkatz, who made his directorial debut with this film. Mahendranath was the producer of the film, and it stars Mime Gopi, Ganesh Venkataraman, and Shashank in supporting roles, along with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead role.
