Romeo OTT Release Details

Vijay Antony, a prominent figure in Kollywood as an actor, director, music composer, and editor, was recently featured in the film Romeo. The movie was also released in Telugu with the title Love Guru, under the direction of Vinayak Vaidyanathan. Sadly, the film became a failure at the box office.

The most recent update is that the Tamil film has finalized its OTT premiere date. Aha Tamil has announced that the movie will be available for streaming starting May 10, 2024. The Telugu version will likely be released simultaneously on the same OTT platform. However, the official confirmation regarding the Telugu version is still pending. The movie features pivotal roles in Mirnalini Ravi, VTV Ganesh, Thalaivasal Vijay, Ilavarasu, Sudha, Sreeja Ravi, and others. The film’s music is composed by Barath Dhanasekar, with Vijay Antony serving as the editor. The film is produced by Vijay Antony under the banners of Vijay Antony Film Corporation and Meera Vijay Antony.

The film tells us the story of Aravind, a man in his early thirties who resides in Malaysia and leads a solitary life. However, his parents pressure him to settle down, prompting him to travel to India. There, he falls in love with Leela, a woman named Mirnalini Ravi. Unfortunately, Leela’s family strongly opposes her dream of becoming an actress. In order to escape the strict rules imposed by her family, she agrees to marry Aravind. To Aravind’s dismay, he discovers that Leela only married him to fulfill her own aspirations. The situation becomes even more complicated with the arrival of Vikram in the couple’s life. How will Aravind navigate this challenging scenario? The remainder of the story explores his journey. Despite being relatable and having decent comedy, the film is plagued by predictability and redundancy. The overall quality would have significantly improved if the core plot had been more tightly woven and emotionally engaging in the second half. Unfortunately, this is not the case, resulting in a film that only manages to have a few standout moments.
