The seasoned off-spinner, who celebrated his 100th Test in Dharamsala, emerged as the top wicket-taker with 26 scalps. “I have gone to different actions, speeds, and releases throughout the series. Each ground in India presents a new challenge. I am not insecure about external opinions,” Ashwin remarked at the post-match presentation. The 37-year-old credited his success to his mindset of adding new dimensions to his bowling, emphasizing the importance of trying new techniques and remaining open to constructive feedback.

Ashwin singled out his spell in the final Test (5/77) and his performance in England’s second innings at Ranchi (5/51) as the highlights of the series. He expressed satisfaction with his ability to outsmart batsmen, particularly recalling his dismissal of Ollie Pope in Ranchi. Ashwin also praised fellow spinner Kuldeep Yadav, commending his skill and adaptability throughout the series.
